Building relationships through art at JDAIM ‘26

Jason Goldsmith presented to about 25 people at the Congregation Dorshei Emet on February 12 at the JDAIM 2026 event called “Embracing Creativity, Art, Autism, and the Power of Expression.
” He shared his story of how building a relationship with his son Ellis was the key to Ellis' growth and learning. In his son’s early years, they communicated through drawing. These drawings were the foundation that formed the Big Blue Hug, which features glass-painted art. After his presentation, Goldsmith taught the audience the techniques.
