Kicking off the 2024-2025 season at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts is Titanique! (October 27 – November 24, 2024). The all-Canadian cast production is set to tour Canada, the motherland of the original Quebecois international sensation, Céline Dion.

Originally produced off-Broadway by Eva Price, this musical comedy hit features real-life Quebec star and musician– Véronique Claveau – as Céline Dion.

Lisa Rubin, the artistic and executive director of the Segal Centre, believes that Titanique is truly a crowd-pleaser: “Like countless others, I fell head overboard in love with Titanique when I saw it Off-Broadway. I knew we had to heed the call to bring this scintillating tribute to our beloved Céline Dion to her home so Montreal could feel the absolute joy and hilarity wash over them just as I did.”

The show is open to all, but parental guidance is advised due to sexual innuendos, coarse language, and crude humour. However, everyone can enjoy the music!

The Segal Centre is committed to accessibility and inclusion. They offer various services to ensure all patrons feel welcome and comfortable during their shows. These services include visual stories, enhanced sound devices, braille reading materials, audio-described performances, ASL-interpreted performances, and more. The theatre continually strives to improve and research better ways to create a space where everyone can enjoy.

Two audio-described performances for Titanique are scheduled to take place on November 10, 2024, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For a full list of accessibility offerings, patrons can visit: https://www.segalcentre.org/en/accessiblity.

“Just leave it to Céline Dion to enchant the audience with her totally wild take, recharting the course of Titanic’s beloved moments and characters with her iconic song catalogue. Sailing on fierce powerhouse voices in show-stopping performances of such hits as “My Heart Will Go On,” “All By Myself,” and “To Love You More” – backed by the unparalleled energy of a full live band led by Nick Burgess – Titanique is a one-of-a-kind theatrical voyage bursting with nostalgia, heart, and campy chaos.” – Segal Centre
