Online Safety Guidelines for Parents/Guardians

With the ever-changing landscape of social media, it is important to be preventative and proactive. The primary method to reach our children and youth is via modeling (i.e., behave the way we would like them to behave) and having open discussions. The following guide will help you to lead discussions with your child and will equip you with some good-to-know information that may be helpful for you, as a parent/guardian.

IMPORTANT NOTICE | UPDATE ON TRANSCO BUS SERVICE - SEPTEMBER 17, 2025

IMPORTANT NOTICE | UPDATE ON TRANSCO BUS SERVICE - SEPTEMBER 17, 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Today, September 17th, we were informed that Transco has received the missing parts needed for their electric vehicles.

So far, 3 vehicles have been repaired and approved for operation. Work on the remaining vehicles will continue over the next few days until all 76 buses have been inspected.

The EMSB will provide daily updates on which buses are authorized to return to service.

For tomorrow, Thursday, September 18, only 3 Transco buses have been cleared to operate and transport students.

  • Bus 104
  • Bus 105
  • Bus 108

At the end of the day tomorrow, the EMSB will share an update on the next vehicles authorized to resume service.

Until further notice, we kindly ask that parents make the necessary arrangement to transport their children to and from school.

Please note:

  • All diesel (non-electric) buses will continue to operate as usual and will transport EMSB students without interruption.
  • There will likely be increased traffic around the school during drop-off and pick-up times. For safety reasons, we ask for your patience and cooperation in ensuring a smooth and secure process.

We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you in advance for your understanding and support.
