EMSB Chorale resumes rehearsals online

Montreal - Thursday, October 29, 2020

After having to cancel all of  its spring performances because of the pandemic, the English Montreal School Board Chorale resumed work in September online like most choirs around the world.

Holding rehearsals online has its limits when it comes to ensemble music-making, but the choir is learning new repertoire, working on the music, text and history of the pieces. A virtual choir project is in the works while waiting for a return to in-person rehearsals. The chorale hopes to be able to hold its 40th anniversary concert, postponed from last May, in May 2021.

To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Chorale will soon be launching a souvenir book entitled Recipes and Memories, filled with photos, choir history and delicious recipes from choir members and their families. On sale soon! For more information on the EMSB Chorale, contact conductor Pat Abbott at pabbott@emsb.qc.ca or 514-483-7200, ext. 7234.
